12th pass (Higher Secondary) from a recognised board by the cut-off date. Some DEO posts in specific departments need 12th with Science and Mathematics.

Is there negative marking in SSC CHSL?
Yes. In Tier-I a wrong answer costs 0.5 marks (a right one earns 2). In Tier-II Sections I to III a wrong answer costs 1 mark (a right one earns 3).
Is the typing test scored?
No. The typing test or skill test is qualifying; your rank comes from the scored papers.
